Mullite Ceramic (3Al2O32SiO2)
Mullite (3Al2O32SiO2) is an alumino silicate ceramic combining low thermal expansion, good mechanical strength, and good high-temperature stability. Mullite ceramic is used extensively in the steel and glass industries. It is also used as a lower cost alternative to alumina, with slightly better thermal shock properties.
The advantages of mullite ceramic:
– Good thermal shock properties
– Low thermal conductivity
– Good wear resistance and resistance to creep
The application of mullite ceramic:
Typical applications include kiln furniture, furnace center tube, heat exchange parts, heat insulation parts, rollers and other customized parts.
