Steatite is the most used ceramic material in many insulators and standoffs, as its good thermal and electrical performances, moreover the cost of steatite is much lower when compared with alumina or zirconia. Typical applications include band heater, thermostat, spark electrode and many other insulators (glazed or not). US customers mostly use steatite grade L-3 & L-5, Europe customers mostly use steatite grade C220 & C221, our engineers will support you with all available materials.
The manufacturing process of steatite ceramic:
Ningbo Victor Import And Export Co., Ltd can manufacture steatite ceramic via four different process, include dry pressing, injection moulding, isostatic pressing and extruding. We will manufacture the steatite parts as per customer’s process requirement, or recommend the most cost-effective process.
